RGPC SubStation 120-volt version

Rated at 2000 Watts, the 120-volt Substation is ideal for video distribution amps as well as power amps where total system power requirements do not exceed 2000 watts. It has a true isolated winding - No connection from secondary to Ground, hot or neutral. Should anything short to Ground, the SubStation floats that short to Ground and the short acts as a neutral.

240-volt vs.120-volt lines
Typically, today's homes rely on 120-volt non-balanced lines. In order to get more power to drive a system it has been common to run multiple dedicated lines to the home theater. Since one circuit cannot borrow power from another circuit and 120-volt pseudo-balanced line devices are ineffective in providing additional headroom for power-hungry equipment, this presents a challenge to those trying to get the most out of their high end audio and video gear. Here is how Richard Gray handled this challenge:

RGPC SubStation 240-volt/120-volt step down model
This model runs true differentially Balanced Power all the way to your equipment, yielding twice the headroom for greater dynamics and performance. Designed for larger systems, it delivers 2400 Watts (400 more than 120-volt line can provide at maximum).
Best when coupled with an RGPC parallel product.
Lightning is less likely to travel on a balanced line created by a Substation.
